So welcome to the Marmot Farm. The question is are we farming marmots or are marmots doing the farming? Nobody knows.
I began my career in 1996 working in television editing and running studio camera in WI, to editing at CNN and finally directing in Atlanta, GA. I began freelancing graphic design on the side and decided to explore a career switch. In 2007 I moved into a publishing environment learning advertisement, folder and album design and book production. In 2010 I started working at a medical publishing company where I overhauled the entire product library with long form book design, medical cards, clipboards, product photography for web. My experiences also taught me the advanced print skills of in house and vendor printing. All the while I continued to produce digital art using a variety of mediums including pen, photography and Photoshop trickery and magic.
In 2012 I became a father again and it was decided I would stay at home with my daughter... now on my third career - stay at home dad. She is now in kid school and I am back to designing full speed again. That takes me to the present...
