The Marmot Farm is the name I use for my various creative ventures. The name came about when, 25 years ago, I randomly pointed to the word marmot in a dictionary and prompted people to use the word in a sentence on my answering machine.
I have been designing since 2004, starting out by taking advantage of
freelancing opportunities while I worked in Television. I started my professional
design career in publishing designing books and other products. But
producing design and print strategies with clients is a completely
different experience. If television taught me anything it's that pressure
to act quickly and creatively is the fun part.
Design and art is where you get to make something from nothing.
Watching the process unfold as you problem solve creative riddles
in your head makes each day unique.
